Jackson Gardens is a special place designed for special people. Its goal is to promote a balance of mind, body and spirit; understanding the diverse needs of residents with dementia-related disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease. An activity focused approach to care encourages resident involvement in stimulating and rewarding activities within the limits of their abilities. Food preparation and presentation, such as finger foods, small healthy portions and simple plate designs encourage residents to enjoy the sometimes difficult task of eating nutritional meals. Professional care givers are on duty 24 hours a day to assist residents with all activities of daily living.
Jackson Garden’s unique home-like setting is both stylish and cozy. Each floor of the two-story home has its own dining room, living room and medication room. Licensed for 30 residents, its 15 bedrooms can be accommodated as private, semi-private (2 persons to a room) or couple rooms. Each room is fully furnished and has its own private bathroom, heat/air controls and cable TV and phone hookup. Personal mementos can be added if desired to give the room a personal touch.
